About the role
- The sub will be expected to provide onsite supervision and assistance with daily activities in the absence of the Residential Life Coordinator (RLC) or Overnight Assistant at either the Pico Home or the Venice Home.
Responsibilities
- Harvest Home is a faith-based residential non-profit organization that transforms the lives of homeless pregnant women and their children by providing housing, support, and programs that equip women to become great mothers.
- Harvest Home is searching for an energetic, motivated, and reliable Residential Program Substitute to maintain a safe and supportive communal living environment among Harvest Home's residents.
Requirements
- An understanding of and sensitivity to issues concerning homelessness, women's health, pregnancy, parenting, trauma, mental health, etc.
- Communicates in a solution-oriented manner
- Understanding of agency best practices (harm reduction, strengths based perspective, restorative justice, motivational interviewing, trauma informed care)
- High self-accountability, sets and strives for high expectations for self and others
- Able to establish and cultivate respectful and appropriate relationships with clients of diverse backgrounds
- Excellent emotional and relational intelligence
- Relational skills and healthy boundaries a must
- Strong critical thinking, active listening, and problem-solving skills
Nice to have
- Crisis-intervention and/or de-escalation training, skills, and/or experience preferred
