About the role
- Candidates for this role could end up working with several of our internal products and teams:
- Copilot is our suite of manufacturing automation products that automates or accelerates key processes within the factory including quoting, CAM programming, and CMM programming.
- We have a broad set of backend services and applications internally.
Responsibilities
- Scope, architect, implement, and deploy critical backend services across multiple product verticals.
- Design and maintain reliable, scalable, and high-performance APIs and systems in a complex production environment.
- Build alongside an incredible team of engineers and operators.
- Expertise in modern backend technologies, with a deep understanding of distributed systems, service architecture, data modeling, and scalable infrastructure design.
- Know how to develop, deploy, and maintain backend and full-stack applications using a modern cloud or containerized stack.
- Relocation support may be provided for certain situations, based on business need.
Requirements
- Experience designing and implementing APIs (REST & gRPC).
- You enjoy understanding how your services impact real operators and workflows.
- Experience working across multiple languages or systems as needed: Go, Python, C#, C++, etc.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, robotics, automation, manufacturing systems, or 3D environments.
Compensation
- For this role, the target salary range is $120,000 - $250,000 (actual range may vary based on experience).
- This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
- We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
- An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
