About the role
- This position will remain open until filled, applications will be reviewed every two weeks.
- The County Surveyor's Office in the Department of Land Use and Transportation is recruiting for a Survey Technician III in the Development Review Section of the Surveyor's Office.
- The primary duties may include performing in office review s of surveys and plats for compliance with applicable statutes and codes for filing in the County Surveyor's Office.
Responsibilities
- The purpose of this project is to create new job descriptions and create new classification and compensation systems.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with individuals and groups who come from diverse backgrounds and represent members of the public, coworkers, and/or vendors.
- Four (4) years of responsible experience in boundary, cadastral or construction surveying, which includes functional lead or training personnel experience.

- Associate's Degree in surveying, mathematics, geographic information systems, construction management, engineering, forestry, or related field
- AND two (2) years of responsible experience in boundary, cadastral or construction surveying.
- Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in surveying, mathematics, geographic information systems, construction management, engineering, forestry, or related field; AND two (2) years of responsible experience in boundary, cadastral or construction surveying. OR
- Must possess a driver's license valid in the State of Oregon and have an acceptable driving record
Skills
- Surveying principles and methods.
- Statutes relating to surveying, right-of-way, and platting.
- Computer software relating to surveying and engineering.
- Use current manual and electronic survey instruments.
- Use computer assisted drafting software.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Compensation
- $41.08 - $50.46 Hourly
