  • Cleans, stocks and maintains supplies for the patient unit.
  • The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below.

Requirements

  • The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:
  • Ability to work variable shifts
  • Ability to turn and lift patients
  • Required Licenses and Certifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Nursing Assistant certification required

Skills

  • Excellent guest relations skills
  • Verbal and written skills required
  • Ability to read English
  • Ability to accept supervision from a multidisciplinary team
  • Flexible in approach to work tasks and schedules
  • Able to grasp new skills and techniques
  • Has basic knowledge of age-specific considerations for patients served
  • Has basic computer skills
  • Assists in the admission of patients to the unit to include orientation to the unit, hospital routine and patient care equipment
  • Responds to needs of patients with direct assistance when able or by reporting patient needs to the appropriate person
  • Assists with implementation of nursing plan of care by carrying out delegated patient care tasks
  • Assists in maintaining patient safety to include the proper use of equipment and supplies
