About the role
- Essential Functions - Phlebotomist is responsible for accurately collecting patient specimens for diagnostic testing while working in a professional medical environment.
- These caregivers collect specimens from patients of various acuities, such as Outpatient, Emergency Department, and Inpatient - including newborns, patients in intensive care, and all other areas of the hospital.
- This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc. - Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients.
Responsibilities
- Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.

Requirements
- Caregivers in this role will have valuable experience and knowledge that brings a higher level of expertise to laboratory services' phlebotomy.
Nice to have
- High School Diploma, Preferred.
- Twelve months of phlebotomy experience, phlebotomy training or national certification as approved by manager/supervisor, Preferred.
