About the role

  • This position will require travel to our various locations and jobsites, mostly in the greater Seattle area.
  • Our headquarters are currently in Everett, WA, and we have other branches in Rodeo, Rancho Cordova, Signal Hill, CA and Ludington, MI.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues in existing control systems, including 3rd-party systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design control panels, wire-ways, conduit runs, and select appropriate components for high-voltage (600VAC or less) systems.
  • Lead projects from design to implementation, ensuring all systems operate smoothly and efficiently.
  • This role requires extensive knowledge in PLC programming and various design systems.
  • HMI Design: Create and configure HMIs to meet operator and process requirements.
  • Control System Design: Design control panels, wire-ways, conduit runs, and select appropriate components for high-voltage (600VAC or less) systems.
  • System Integration: Lead projects from design to implementation, ensuring all systems operate smoothly and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with PLC and HMI programming.
  • Strong experience in designing and implementing control systems for high-voltage (480V) applications.
  • Strong understanding of industrial automation protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, etc.).
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams.
  • Utilize and understand relational databases, such as Microsoft SQL, for reporting, data collection, and system integration as required.

Nice to have

  • Ignition by Inductive Automation preferred.

  • Licensing & Special Requirements:
  • Incumbent is subject to a criminal background check.
  • Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
  • Work is performed within Clear Water Services' Everett shop and at other construction and industrial job sites.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds is required.
  • Candidate must be able to walk, bend, twist, crouch, kneel, and move freely with minimal limitation.

Compensation

  • $90,000-110,000/year based on interview outcome and qualifications
