About the role
- This position will require travel to our various locations and jobsites, mostly in the greater Seattle area.
- Our headquarters are currently in Everett, WA, and we have other branches in Rodeo, Rancho Cordova, Signal Hill, CA and Ludington, MI.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues in existing control systems, including 3rd-party systems.
Responsibilities
- Design control panels, wire-ways, conduit runs, and select appropriate components for high-voltage (600VAC or less) systems.
- Lead projects from design to implementation, ensuring all systems operate smoothly and efficiently.
- This role requires extensive knowledge in PLC programming and various design systems.
- HMI Design: Create and configure HMIs to meet operator and process requirements.
- Control System Design: Design control panels, wire-ways, conduit runs, and select appropriate components for high-voltage (600VAC or less) systems.
- System Integration: Lead projects from design to implementation, ensuring all systems operate smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements
- Associates degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with PLC and HMI programming.
- Strong experience in designing and implementing control systems for high-voltage (480V) applications.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, etc.).
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams.
- Utilize and understand relational databases, such as Microsoft SQL, for reporting, data collection, and system integration as required.
Nice to have
- Ignition by Inductive Automation preferred.

- Licensing & Special Requirements:
- Incumbent is subject to a criminal background check.
- Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed within Clear Water Services' Everett shop and at other construction and industrial job sites.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds is required.
- Candidate must be able to walk, bend, twist, crouch, kneel, and move freely with minimal limitation.
Compensation
- $90,000-110,000/year based on interview outcome and qualifications
