About the role
- Passion and enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring.
- Sound understanding of accepted laboratory techniques and practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead classroom instruction as comfort level allows
- Support curricula improvement and test new protocols
- Maintain chemical, consumable and equipment inventory
- Manage waste streams including consumables recycling and biohazardous materials disposal
- Perform routine maintenance of instruments and safety equipment
- Engage in community outreach, recruitment, internships and alumni support Qualifications
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, molecular biology, or biotechnology or equivalent laboratory experience/training.
- Experience with modern biotechnology instrumentation and methods.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to explain scientific concepts to non-scientists.
- Our graduates log more lab hours in nine months than most four-year degree programs, preparing them for impactful careers in biotech, life sciences, and pharmaceuticals.
