About the role
- The Estate, Gift, and Trust Senior Professional plays a pivotal role in delivering sophisticated tax compliance and planning services to high-net-worth clients, families, and their advisors.
- Prepare and review advanced estate, gift, and trust tax returns (Forms 706, 709, 5227 and 1041)
- Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local tax regulations
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize wealth preservation
- Collaborate with clients, attorneys, and financial advisors to craft customized estate and trust plans
- Manage multiple engagements simultaneously, ensuring client satisfaction and timely delivery of services
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing technical training and professional development support
- Review the work of staff to maintain accuracy and adherence to firm standards
- You will oversee complex tax engagements, manage client relationships, mentor junior staff, and provide expert guidance on estate, gift, and trust tax matters.

Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 6 years of relevant experience including some preparation of estate, gift and trust returns

Nice to have
- Experience in professional service environment, such as a CPA firm, financial consulting firm, or similar setting
- Possession of or actively working towards professional certification(s) such as CPA, Enrolled Agent, LLM, CFP, MST, or Juris Doctor (JD)
- Responsible for completing the minimum CPE credit requirement
