Responsibilities

  • The Interconnections Senior Planning Engineer will coordinate and perform interconnection studies for data centers, offshore wind, energy storage, public policy transmission, and other new clean energy projects.
  • They will conduct power-flow and short circuit analyses for substations, identify local and system upgrades to maintain reliable electric system operations.
  • Additionally, they will manage internal engineering support activities, interface with NYISO and merchant developers, assess the impacts of new generation/transmission/load projects on the bulk electric system, and recommend modifications to NYISO.
