About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative and operational support to department/program faculty and students, which may include organizing and scheduling meetings tracking and maintaining unit budgets
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
  • The Administrative Assistant will provide general administrative support to department faculty and students in one or more units.
  • This role is largely on-campus due to being the face of administrative support for their area(s) and greeting and assisting all students, faculty, and visitors.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure work is completed accurately and on time
  • Knowledge of office administration practices and processes
  • Ability to carry out special assignments, monitor progress, and follow through to completion
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • The Administrative Assistant will assist with events, including workshops, conferences, and seminars as required.
  • Basic proficiency with MS Office products, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role.
