About the role

- As we continue to expand our R&D efforts, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research and Development (R&D) Senior Technician.
- You will be heavily focused on hands-on laboratory and testing activities, requiring the execution of a wide range of test methodologies focused on the glass category.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the formulation and development of new consumer products, with the guidance of senior scientists and engineers. Primary focus on Windex brand with support, as needed, for other Home Cleaning category brands.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and inventory, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and proper functioning for efficient operation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, quality control, and regulatory affairs, to support product development projects and meet project timelines.
- Primary focus on Windex brand with support, as needed, for other Home Cleaning category brands.

Requirements
- Ability to lift 10 - 40 pounds
- Associates degree in a technical or science program and 2+ years of relevant experience
- High school diploma and 4+ years of relevant experience
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship for full-time employment.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or other related science
- Experience in a laboratory setting, with hands-on experience in formulation development.
- Experience in the consumer products industry.
- Understanding of the functional, proper use, and the environmental impact of chemical ingredients
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and instruments, such as balances, pH meters, viscometers, and spectrophotometers.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot experimental challenges and propose solutions.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance with laboratory protocols and procedures.
Compensation
- SC Johnson's total compensation packages are at or above industry levels.
