About the role
- The Substitute teacher will participate in the daily implementation of the program including planning, assisting in supervision of student aides and ensuring the good health and safety of all children.
- Act as primary teacher for a group of 12-16 children.
- Assist in planning/implementing daily activities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain neat, orderly and safe classroom and cubby area.
Requirements
- Experience (150 supervised hours in an early childhood setting)
- Twelve units of Early Childhood Education Courses (Teacher Qualified)
- Evidence of Christian commitment and active church involvement. In addition, staff agree to live in agreement with PLNU's Community Life Covenant.

- The work is primarily sedentary and may require sitting for extended periods of time. Use of computer equipment: computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Vision to read documents, email and other correspondence, and reports on paper and computer monitor. Hearing and speaking to communicate effectively with others in person and by phone. Will also stand, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 10 lbs throughout the day.

- Pay Rate: $18.34 - $18.75 per hour
