About the role
- Answers phone calls to department's main lines and respond to general inquiries.
- Understands and satisfies their needs in regards to their growth and development process.
- Any deviations or changes are verbally reported to the RN and documented in the patient's medical record (deviations/changes are to be co-signed by the RN).
Responsibilities
- Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, provides administrative assistance, receptionist, billing and lab support for the Pediatric Translational Research Unit.
Requirements
- Maintains required statistics, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs.
Nice to have
- 1+ years laboratory experience preferred
- 1+ years of HUC experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of phlebotomy, reagents, equipment and equipment maintenance preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of computer and keyboard, Microsoft Window, Excel and basic word processing skills.
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 70% of the work time.
