About the role

  • The perinatal therapist will provide outpatient psychotherapy to adults during the perinatal period, including pregnancy and postpartum.
  • The ideal candidate is experienced in women's mental health, values collaborative care, and is comfortable working with complex emotional and relational dynamics that arise during the transition to parenthood.
  • This roll offers the opportunity to work within a supportive interdisciplinary environment alongside psychiatric providers, nurses and medical assistants.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Supports patients experiencing:
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with psychiatric providers, OB/GYNs, pediatricians, doulas, lactation consultants, and community supports as appropriate

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work or Counseling Psychology
  • Experience working in perinatal, postpartum, or women's mental health populations
  • Strong Clinical Assessment and psychotherapy skills
  • Commitment to compassionate, inclusive, and culturally responsive care
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have

  • PMH-C certification or interest in obtaining certification
  • Experience with couples or family work
  • Experience in outpatient or integrated care settings
  • Compensation is based on candidate experience, qualifications, and certifications and licenses.
  • Active independent licensure in Massachusetts (LICSW, LMHC, PsyD, or PhD preferred)

Compensation

  • $65,000 - $95,000 USD
  • Annual ranges listed are based on a full-time, 40 hours per week position.
