About the role
- CNC Setup Technician is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, ensuring precision in manufacturing processes, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Collaboration: Work closely with CNC programmers to optimize tool paths and machining strategies, ensuring efficient production processes.
- Proven ability to set up and support:
- Ability to perform first-article inspections, make setup adjustments, and ensure parts meet quality requirements
Requirements
- Perform first-article inspections and ongoing quality checks to ensure that machined parts meet required specifications.
- Typically requires 3-5 years of experience in CNC setup and operation, with a strong understanding of G-code and machining processes.

- Experience with fixturing, work holding, pallet setups, tombstones, and multi-part setups, particularly for horizontal machining
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) and familiarity with CNC programming languages.
