About the role
- Patients are transported by three modes of transportation, bed, stretcher or wheelchair.
- Answers pages on beeper or Rover device.
- Completes transport request steps before, during, and after transport in the EPIC system.
Responsibilities
- Maintains the cleanliness of all transport equipment such as wheelchairs, stretchers, etc.
Requirements
- Must be able to read, write, and comprehend basic written instructions in English.
- Must be 18 years of age and have high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. individually.
- May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at times such as masks, eye protection, ear protection, gloves and gowns.
