About the role
- You will provide day-to-day guidance and technical direction to the Indirect Tax Analyst, helping set priorities, coordinate workload, and ensure high-quality execution of global indirect tax activities.
- This hybrid position is based at our Toronto headquarters, with an expectation of working in the office two days per week.

Responsibilities
- Strong tax research, analytical, Excel, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Timely, practical tax support for business initiatives, including sales, contracting, product launches, vendor onboarding, and geographic expansion.
- Continuous improvement of tax processes and technology, with effective collaboration and support for the Indirect Tax Analyst.

Requirements
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, perform initial technical analysis, and identify when jurisdiction-specific advice may be required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- Experience with Avalara or another sales tax automation platform.
Compensation
- Each A-Players' compensation is reviewed at least annually against performance and impact in role.
