About the role
- Job Purpose: Coordinates the grant funded Human Immunodeficiency Virus test site for the Wayne State University Adult Human Immunodeficiency Virus Program under the direction of the Psychosocial Team Leader.
- Serves as a patient advocate/non-medical case manager, for the psychosocial team.
- Essential Functions: Serves as a patient advocate/non-medical case manager for the psychosocial team.
Responsibilities
- Enrolls eligible patients and maintains patients in the Ryan White program.
- Links positive test clients and patients with disease intervention specialists for Partner Services.
- Ensures trained Counseling, Testing and Referral staff are educated on new testing procedures and maintains record of staff Counseling, Testing, and Referral certification.
- Maintains certification in Human Immunodeficiency Virus test counseling and performance point of service testing.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
