About the role
- Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Department of Energy Acquisition Regulations (DEAR), and applicable project procedures.
- Serve as a liaison across the company hierarchy to gather and analyze sourcing strategy data and recommend new trends, sourcing approaches, and procedural improvements.
- Represent the company in meetings with and presentations to DOE and industry representatives.
Responsibilities
- The Sub-Contracts Manager, Sr. will provide senior-level contracts and subcontract management support for Southern Ohio Cleanup Company contract labor support in Piketon, Ohio.
- Manage all aspects of the contracting project life cycle, including scope definition, detailed planning, status tracking, issue management, and communication of project status.
- Maintain close working relationships with senior management and operational management to ensure contracting services are executed properly and business needs are met.
- Manage complex management duties, including budgetary responsibilities and oversight of assigned groups and staff.
- Maintain a workplace free of harassment, intimidation, and other unlawful or policy-prohibited activities.

- Actively participate in Safety Work Groups and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Ability to maintain sensitivity to and report instances of fraud, waste, and abuse.
Requirements
- Typical related experience range of 15 to 20 years in contracts, subcontract management, procurement, federal contracting, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience using basic PC skills, including Microsoft software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with senior management, operational management, DOE, industry representatives, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Exemplary attention to detail and ability to prepare, review, edit, and approve procedures and analytical data.
- DOE "L" clearance or ability to obtain a DOE "L" clearance.
- Ability to complete radiological training if required.
Nice to have
- Prior experience supporting DOE environmental restoration, cleanup, nuclear, or federal project environments.
- Strong background in staff development, planning, mentoring, budgetary oversight, and department-level leadership through subordinate personnel.
- Experience supporting sourcing strategy analysis, contract procedure improvement, and recommendations for new sourcing trends or methods.
- Experience representing an organization in meetings or presentations with DOE and industry representatives.
- Typical experience ranges from 15 to 20 years.
- DOE "L" clearance or ability to obtain a DOE "L" clearance is required.
- Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
