About the role
- The Field Service Technician is responsible for integrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex automated systems at greenhouse and nursery sites throughout the United States and Canada.

Responsibilities
- Support commissioning and startup of new automation systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams during implementation
- Perform repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance
- Service mechanical systems including pneumatic actuators, motors, gearboxes, and chain drives
- Identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Customer Support and Training
- Install and integrate complex automated systems in greenhouses and nurseries • Work with conveyors, hoppers, potting machines, transplanters, and camera grading systems • Support commissioning and startup of new automation systems • Collaborate with engineering teams during implementation
- Diagnose hardware and programming issues • Perform repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance • Troubleshoot electrical systems including VFDs, PLCs, photo-eyes, and encoders • Service mechanical systems including pneumatic actuators, motors, gearboxes, and chain drives • Identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Accurately document repairs, upgrades, and service activities • Support identification of system improvements • Assist engineering with feedback for product development • Maintain professional representation of AdeptAg at customer sites

Requirements
- Occasional weekend travel or work required based on project needs
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to obtain a passport (if not already held, within 90 days of hire)
- This field-based position requires strong electro-mechanical expertise, previous experience with greenhouse or agricultural equipment, and the ability to work independently at customer sites.
