About the role

  • As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll be hands-on with the backbone of that system: the infrastructure and pipelines that keep everything flowing smoothly, scalably, and reliably.
  • This role isn't just about writing great code (though that's part of it).
  • It's about helping us make smart decisions as we scale, both technically and strategically.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the strategy behind our data architecture and tooling.
  • Collaborate across the company with product, reporting, and platform teams to deliver the right data at the right time.
  • Deliver incremental improvements, especially when things feel ambiguous or messy
  • Relevant background: Proven success building and scaling data pipelines, platform, and infrastructure

Requirements

  • Technical expertise: Deep knowledge of AWS and open-source data tools (e.g. Spark, Iceberg, Kafka, dbt, etc.)
  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering or adjacent backend roles

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform preferred).
  • We work in the office 3-5x/week, with flexibility when life happens.
