- You'll be hands-on in negotiating, drafting, and structuring complex enterprise SaaS and data licensing agreements-primarily within the insurance sector-helping the business move quickly while thoughtfully managing risk.
Responsibilities
- Manage legal workstream for vendor contract integration, including defining fit for purpose approach, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating external-facing product and vendor contracts;
- Attending to legal-related external customer support requests and enquiries;

Requirements
- JD or equivalent degree, admitted to the bar, and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law in the United States.
- Must be able to, and be comfortable giving, commercially-focused, pragmatic legal advice in simple to understand language.
Nice to have
- Supporting the North American sales organization and go-to-market efforts by
- Advising the sales and partnerships teams on deal structure and contract negotiations, including advising on legal risks and legal liabilities associated with contractual arrangements;
- Representing Nearmap's interests and interfacing directly with opposing counsel and negotiation teams;
- Attending to legal-related requests and enquiries from internal stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, including those specific to the insurance sector and data privacy
- Working with the global legal team on projects as needed.
- Adhere to company guidelines and the corporate Code of Conduct;
- Act in an ethical way when dealing with company assets and other people;
Skills
- Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Able to handle matters with minimal supervision;
- Proficient in MS Office suite of products and experience with systems such as Salesforce, Conga, JIRA, and Slack preferred.
