About the role

Job Description The Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine has an outstanding opportunity for a Research Coordinator 1 to join their team.
Job location: This position is based in the greater Olympia area and is a hybrid position.
Additional job responsibilities can be conducted remotely with occasional in-person meetings with the full study team in Seattle.

Document and maintain policies and procedures for patient enrollment and protocol implementation to ensure that data collection meets Good Clinical Practice guidelines
Work to create a comfortable atmosphere for and build appropriate rapport with study participants
Support the creation of participant-facing study materials and updating of study protocols and standard operating procedures
Support the development of reports for study sponsor and other collaborating partners
Support manuscript preparation and publication, including using reference management software
Reporting to the Principal Investigator, Research Coordinator 1 will primarily support a study on substance use screening and diagnosis in Washington prisons but may provide coordination support across other projects.
The Research Coordinator will also support the coordination of this study and other studies that Dr.
UW employees bring their boundless energy, creative problem-solving skills and dedication to building stronger minds and a healthier world.

Bachelor's degree in a related field and one year of relevant experience.

Experience in a patient or client-facing role, working directly with service users
Personal vehicle and valid driver's license
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Familiarity with research
Ability to use survey software for data capture and organization
Experience working with people who are directly affected by the criminal-legal system, substance use, and/or alcohol use
Experience conducting research and/or clinical interviews
Experience with REDCap data management system
