About the role
- Global Food Corp. is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our team in Medley, Florida.
- The ideal candidate has experience working in SAGE accounting software, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced distribution or warehouse environment.
- This role will work closely with accounting, operations, and warehouse teams to ensure accurate reporting and smooth day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and timely data entry within the accounting system
- Organize and maintain financial records including invoices, receipts, and shipping documentation
- Reconcile transactions and support account balancing activities
- Provide documentation and support during internal or external audits
- Perform additional accounting or administrative duties as assigned
Requirements
- Experience in food distribution, import/export, logistics, or warehouse operations is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial procedures
- Must be bilingual
- Proficiency in SAGE accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Experience using SAGE accounting software strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with both internal teams and external vendors
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Nice to have
- Process customer invoicing and billing transactions using SAGE accounting software
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve billing or payment discrepancies
- Monitor outstanding balances and assist with payment follow-up when necessary
- Assist with product or operational inspections and ensure documentation is properly recorded
- Work with warehouse and operations teams to verify information related to shipments and inventory
- Assist with preparation of financial reports and supporting documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting and reporting processes
