Responsibilities
- Enforce league rules and maintain fair play
- Manage game flow and keep matches running on schedule
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants
Requirements
- Ability to learn and apply league rules consistently
- Ability to complete written shift reports accurately
- Strong understanding of volleyball rules and gameplay
- Positive, enthusiastic, and approachable personality
- Comfortable interacting with players and building relationships throughout the season
- Passion for sports and recreation
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependable and organized
- Takes initiative and works independently
- Comfortable communicating with players, facility staff, and JAM team members
- Able to confidently manage groups and make real-time decisions
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable handling conflict professionally and calmly
Nice to have
- Previous volleyball officiating experience is preferred but not required
