About the role

Responsibilities
- Work directly with trade partners, distributors, and manufacturers to establish good working relationships.
- Provide support to trade partners, as necessary.
- Provide consistent and reliable information to the Purchasing manager for back-office data in the form of documents, reports, and analysis.
- Cultivate a network of trade partners, distributors, and manufacturers committed to reducing costs and increasing service, quality, and value.
- Create the most comprehensive buyout that Oakwood has ever done with take-offs, unit pricing, great turn-key costs and an in-depth analysis of base house and option costs.
- Provide company support and synergy on costs, prices, margins, specifications, new communities, and changes and actively contribute to the most accurate, timely, and reliable department in the company.
- Provide variance support through approval and research.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience within the residential construction industry
- Expert level experience in Excel and Microsoft products
- The ability to say NO without ruining a relationship.
- Experience negotiating required.
- Excellent ability to multi-task, strong attention to detail, effectiveness at prioritization and very adaptable
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to hold oneself accountable and possesses a high degree of self-awareness
Compensation
- $70,000-$80,000 Annual Salary - This position is eligible for additional performance incentives in the form of quarterly bonus opportunity.
