About the role

Responsibilities
- Support student leaders and volunteers participating in ministry events
- Communicate with campus departments and community ministry partners regarding logistics
- Maintain ministry records, calendars, and documentation
- Provide administrative support to the University Chaplain and Student Life team
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of Border Engagement Ministries
- Point Loma Nazarene University is seeking a Temporary Ministry Coordinator to support the Border Engagement Ministries program during the Fall semester.
- Working alongside the University Chaplain and Student Life team, this position provides administrative, logistical, and program support for ministry experiences that engage students with communities along the San Diego-Tijuana border.
Requirements
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and by phone
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 20 pounds during ministry events
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and schedules simultaneously
Nice to have
- Knowledge and experience working with a diverse population is preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Experience coordinating events, ministry programs, or volunteer activities preferred

Compensation
- Pay range $20.91 - $22.58
- Actual salary offered is determined by the candidate's experience, education, skills, and other factors, including internal equity and university funding resources.
