Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical support for complex hardware installations, field implementations, and system coexistence scenarios.
  • Manage technical escalations in ambiguous or fast-moving situations with sound judgment, professionalism, and clear communication.
  • Identify, document, and improve installation methods, technical processes, field standards, and supporting documentation.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of tools, workflows, reporting resources, and knowledge systems that strengthen Field Engineering visibility, consistency, and implementation support.

Requirements

  • Leadership presence and the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving, or high-pressure situations
  • Advanced knowledge of 12V and 24V vehicle electrical systems (including EV), vehicle telematics environments, and field troubleshooting methods
  • Strong understanding of vehicle-mounted safety hardware, installation practices, and system interoperability
  • Experience supporting field implementation and providing technical guidance to internal or external stakeholders

  • The 12V Installation Senior Systems Engineer provides advanced technical support, installation guidance, and hardware implementation expertise for complex, custom, and technically challenging vehicle safety system deployments.
  • This role works cross-functionally to improve installation quality, field readiness, product usability, and customer and driver outcomes.
  • This position applies deep technical knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, telematics, cameras, sensors, monitors, and associated wiring and cabling to support deployments, resolve escalations, and develop scalable installation standards and best practices.
