Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of voluntary corporate actions, including event research, election review, and post-event validation
- Ensure the firm's portfolio accounting system is accurately updated daily with trading activity, corporate actions, and cash movements to support portfolio management, trading, and performance reporting
- Proactively identify and execute process improvements that drive efficiency and risk reduction that create value for internal and external stakeholders
- Leverage Excel tools, including lookup functions and pivot tables, to compare large datasets, identify reconciliation breaks, and drive timely resolution
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or 6 years equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of demonstrated success in financial or business operations field
- Self-motivated and proactive team player with the ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to work independently and on several assignments simultaneously
- Proficiency with MS Office applications - Word, Excel, and Outlook
Skills
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- General market knowledge on impact of corporate actions, dividend payments, interest payments and adjustments to cost basis
- General knowledge on security characteristics and market dynamics, and how these factors impact reconciliation
- Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance workflows, including automation, data analysis, and improving efficiency in operational processes
- Experience with SS&C Advent's APX accounting platform
- Experience with FIS XSPrisa for corporate actions
- Experience with Bloomberg Terminal
- Familiarity with IRS cost basis requirements
