  • The Plumbing Engineer works closely with more experienced engineers and assists in the development of Plumbing deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Interfaces with clients and external partners.
  • Develops construction drawing packages and writes construction specifications on basic projects of limited complexity with oversight.
  • Participates in basic project system design programming and master planning with support from Lead or Senior Engineer.
  • Executes work on one or more intermediate level tasks simultaneously as delegated by the Lead or Sr. Plumbing Engineer.
  • Assists in the drafting, design, and development of fire protection performance criteria drawings.
  • Delegates some basic and fundamental tasks to Entry-Level and Design staff.
  • Successfully supports all phases of design including planning, feasibility, scope and concept development, detailed design, construction documentation and construction administration.
  • Provides basic support of construction activities such as RFI responses, submittal reviews, punch list development and construction progress reports.
  • Develops and expands ability to coordinate effectively with other disciplines, delegates, interacts with clients and manages scopes of work and deliverables.

Requirements

  • ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Basic experience with the plumbing/mechanical/fire/building codes

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and NavisWorks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Bluebeam Revu
  • LEED, WELL or other sustainable design accredited professional or, experience with sustainable plumbing designs
  • Basic experience with other applicable industry standards
  • Proficient with basic internal and external cross-discipline project team coordination
