About the role

  • The Assistant Director of Development advances the mission of InterVarsity by helping under-networked staff develop sustainable support-raising capacity, cultivating strategic partnerships, and strengthening the infrastructure necessary for long-term ministry growth.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the administration and implementation of the APF Network Capacity Building Program.
  • Support participant onboarding, orientation, and integration into InterVarsity's Fully Resourced Program.
  • Support development of fundraising strategies, donor communication plans, and network expansion goals.
  • Support donor engagement opportunities and stewardship efforts.
  • Strategic Development Support (20%)
  • Support Metro DC and Southern Maryland MPD efforts and confernces
  • Support regional development initiatives and special projects.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Development to implement strategic priorities.

Nice to have

  • Experience in fundraising, coaching, nonprofit leadership, or related fields preferred.
  • Experience facilitating training, coaching, or leadership development preferred

Compensation

  • $44,016.00 - $58,680.00 per year
  • Pay: This position is funded through personal fundraising.
  • Accordingly, compensation will vary based on the ability of the individual to secure a donor team to fund the cost of his/her salary.
  • The anticipated salary range for this position on a full-time basis (40 hours/week) is dependent on a variety of factors, including location and cost of living.
  • The actual salary received, including any geographic adjustment to account for location and cost of living, is subject to the individual's ability to raise funds necessary to cover the full amount of such salary within the range set forth in the job posting details.
