  • Job Description: The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is responsible for leading and overseeing all medical services across Valle del Sol health centers, including primary care, psychiatric, behavioral health, and opioid treatment services.
  • This executive position balances clinical care (20-40% of time) with strategic leadership duties (60-80%), ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered, and integrated healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an active caseload while modeling team-based, integrated, and culturally competent care.
  • Facilitate peer review processes and develop action plans for quality assurance improvements.
  • Oversee all credentialing and privileging activities to maintain high standards of provider competency.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess or obtain a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card (if required for the role).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to pass pre- and continued employment screenings successfully.

Nice to have

  • 7 years of recent experience in a primary care practice, teamed with physicians and advanced practice providers, serving multigenerational and multicultural patients.
  • TB Screening Record and PPD/QuantiFERON/Chest x-ray upon hire (as applicable).

Compensation

  • $20k-$40k
