About the role
- This is a skilled, multi-function machining position responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining CNC equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and process sheets.
Responsibilities
- Make dimensional and process adjustments to maintain part quality.
- Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
- Maintain machines, tooling, fixtures, and supporting equipment.
- Perform TPM activities and maintain 5S/6S housekeeping standards.
- Organize work to support production schedules and maximize OEE.
Requirements
- Ability to independently set up and operate CNC equipment.
- Working knowledge of GD&T.
- Experience with CNC programs, G & M codes, and program editing.
- Ability to set tool and work offsets and adjust feeds and speeds.
- Knowledge of machining tools, workholding, and cutting processes.
- Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment.
- Complete required quality and production documentation.
Nice to have
- Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, or similar CNC controls.
- Experience with CNC milling, drilling, and turning.
- Experience creating or modifying CNC programs.
- Strong knowledge of cutting tools and machining processes.
- Experience with TPM, 5S/6S, OEE, and continuous improvement.
- Experience machining large or complex components.
- Preferred: Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, or similar CNC controls.
Skills
- Select and install cutting tools, fixtures, tool holders, and workholding equipment.
