- The Senior Payroll Manager works closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient payroll operations, as well as providing leadership and guidance to the payroll team.

Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
- Manage payroll for unionized employees in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and collective agreements.
- Support union audits and oversee timely, accurate certified payroll reporting for government contracts and prevailing wage jobs.

- Help us build the next world-class venue.
- Partner with ADP on payroll tax filings and issue resolution.
- Manage year-end payroll processes, including T4, RL-1, W-2, 1099, and audit support.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of payroll specialists.
- Manage team performance and workload distribution to meet deadlines.
Requirements
- 10+ years of payroll processing experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll systems and related software (e.g., ADP, Workday, etc.).
- Experience with Davis-Bacon certified payroll reporting, accounting payroll entries, payroll tax laws and compliance, including federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines.
- Compliance Expertise - Deep knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor requirements across U.S. and Canada including union and certified payroll requirements.
Nice to have
- Systems Knowledge.
- Proficiency in payroll systems, especially ADP
- exposure to Workday, HRIS, and timekeeping systems is a plus as well as ERP financial modules for journal entry postings.
- Certifications (Preferred) - Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent credential.

- Coordinate weekly 401(k) funding and support annual 401(k) audits.
