About the role
- Gensler's Government practice in Washington, D.C. is growing, and we are looking for a Project Architect to join our team.
- As a Project Architect in our dynamic Washington, D.C. office you are passionate about your craft and combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creative efforts of multiple architecture and interior design teams from the initial marketing stages through construction administration
- In collaboration with a team, create overall design concepts, storytelling and design presentation strategies
- Drive alignment in our designs with our, and our clients', resilience goals
- Build and sustain client relationships, act as the primary design interface with clients, team members, and a wide range of consultants and collaborators, both internal and external
- Mentor and develop teammates
- provide creative direction to design teams
- Integrate new technology and tools on projects (AR, VR, computational design, etc.)
- Be a voice in our Community for the Power of Design

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program
- 6-10 years project experience in an architectural practice, including demonstrated success in public sector and/or secure work
- Strong proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD and the Adobe Creative Suite
- Registered/Licensed Architect (if you are in the process of taking AREs, feel free to contact nicole_kumar@gensler.com to determine whether another opening could be a match for your background)
Nice to have
- Proficiency with SketchUp, InDesign, 3D Studio Max, Enscape, Photoshop, and Illustrator, and Miro is preferred
- LEED, Fitwell or WELL accreditation is preferred

- Our annual base salary range has been established based on local markets.
