Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain all electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure it is operating properly
- Responsible for maintaining production and support equipment (systems: electrical, control and mechanical)
- Interpret engineering drawings and schematics to maintain the operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment of complex parts
- Manage the preventative maintenance schedule and complete work orders as scheduled
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and system failures, and perform corrective maintenance and repairs in a timely and effective manner.
- Inspect equipment for defects, wear, and damage, and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment, to perform maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment inspections, and repairs.
- Implement and coordinate preventative maintenance
- Refurbish, modify and install production support equipment as necessary
Requirements
- Employees who are required to wear a respirator must maintain a clean-shaven face in the area where the respirator seals to the skin.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Ability to speak and read English sufficiently to converse with the general public, read and understand highway signs/signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports/records
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Systems: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace preferred
Skills
- Ability to become certified in forklift and overhead crane operation
- Ability to become certified in Aerial lift and Fall Protection
- Ability to become certified in Lockout Tag-out
- Ability to become certified in Chemical Handling
- Ability to use measuring equipment
- Ability to safely operate an overhead JIB cranes
- Independent self-starter requiring little to no supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail in fast-paced work environment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Understanding of workplace safety protocols and procedures
