About the role
- The Assembler I will assemble, inspect, test and package finished product in one or more assigned work centers.
- Additionally, the position will inspect to verify quality of the item (finish, scratch marks and dings); and complete paperwork for replacements parts and to close work orders.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED is required
- Performs other duties as required.
- This position requires the ability to continuously lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
Nice to have
- 6 months relevant work experience preferred.
Skills
- Ability to learn to read basic blueprint or work instructions
- Ability to follow pre-established processes and procedures
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to use small hand tools (screw drivers, wrenches, hammers)
- Ability to communicate with others
- Ability to learn different processes and procedures in short period of time
- Ability to differentiate among colors used in visual inspection
- Exposure to smart tablet required
- English (reading, writing, verbal)
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, divide, multiply)
- Ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holiday hours.
- Ability to legally work without sponsorship for employment visa status.
