About the role

  • Join Caterpillar's Electric Power Division as a Manufacturing Engineer supporting the production of Caterpillar Switchgear.
  • Working alongside operations, quality, and engineering teams, you'll leverage manufacturing technology, data analytics, and automation solutions to improve safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance.

Responsibilities

  • ability to develop and deploy automation solutions to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Implements and supports automation technologies to enhance manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
  • Analyzes manufacturing data to measure performance and drive fact-based decision making.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to solve complex manufacturing challenges through automation and innovation.
  • ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.
  • Discusses considerations for work cell design and effectiveness monitoring.
  • Explains issues and considerations of implementing lean in own function or area.
  • Drive automation and digital manufacturing initiatives that improve safety, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead process improvement projects focused on manufacturing throughput, equipment performance, and production velocity.
  • Design and optimize manufacturing processes, assembly lines, and automated systems to support business growth and operational excellence.

Compensation

  • $97,530.00 - $146,290.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
