About the role

  • GENERAL MANAGER, NAISMITH BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME Springfield, MA Hybrid THE RUNDOWN Playfly Sports is looking for a General Manager to join our team in leading a new partnership with the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
  • The General Manager will be responsible for generating incremental sponsorship revenue on behalf of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame for museum sponsorships, special events, award ceremonies and more.
  • The person in this role will work with the Hall of Fame staff and Playfly Sports staff to pitch and close enterprise partnership agreements with the objective meeting and exceeding individual and team goals for Playfly.

Requirements

  • Must be available to travel to the Hall of Fame and its special events
  • Must be available to travel for client presentations

Nice to have

  • Prospect, meet and close a significant number of new and renewal high level corporate sponsorships
  • Entertain and cultivate sponsors in different settings
  • Prepare end-of-year recaps for sponsors
  • Represent the property, the university, and Playfly Sports in a professional manner
  • Research sports sponsorship industry and stay current with relevant market trends and conditions
  • Build strong understanding of all Playfly business units and offerings in order to leverage new business areas, leads, and categories
  • Other job-related duties as assigned
  • Bachelor's degree required

Compensation

  • The pay range for this role is $160,000 to $170,000.
  • Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
