Responsibilities
- Lead and support the engineering activities for large scale product development programs by investigating feasibility, performing design using 3-D modeling software, conduct layout review and 2D drawing creation.
- Create part specification requirements and BOM.
- Perform cost analysis, strength calculations and material selection.
- Search new ways to increase overall efficiency, utilize up-to-date technology, and reduce design and parts costs
- This role will support engineering design and development activities.
- We partner with OEMs and suppliers across the mobility space, as well as clients in non-mobility industries, to deliver innovative solutions and accelerate product development.

Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5+ years relevant industry experience or Bachelor's degree and 7+ years relevant industry experience or Associate's degree and 8+ years relevant industry experience.
- Travel to client sites required.
- Education with the following specialties preferred: Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing.
- Leading the development of assigned parts, including coordination with offshore teams and customer counterparts to manage schedules, deliverables, and technical follow-up.
- The ability to work effectively in a cross functional group setting, including essential technical guidance to support Senior Management

Nice to have
- Knowledge and working experience with DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), DFM (Design for Manufacturing)
- Experience using both Catia V5/V6 to create 3-D models and 2D drawings is required.
- Experience in the automotive domain designing interior components, particularly Door Trim/Lining.
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and tooling
- Exposure to CAE preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS office.
