About the role
- Position Tye: Full Time, Days, 100% Remote Schedule: Varied shifts starting at 8:00am - 7:00pm, Monday - Friday Please Note: Schedule is subject to change based on hospital census and the needs of the business.
- No more than two complaints are considered satisfactory.

Responsibilities
- include interacting with insurance companies, patients, physician offices and other hospital departments to thoroughly document accounts.
- Performs insurance notification, verification, and authorization activities necessary to financially secure accounts.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in patient access, billing, cash collections, insurance and/or pre-certification OR 3 years directly related experience in a hospital.
- Explains financial requirements to patient or other responsible party and collects deposits or deductibles as required.
Nice to have
- Ability to type a minimum of 35 WPM.
- CPAR or CHAA certification

- Aggressively explores all possible options as a means of securing an account when problems arise.
- Informs Patient Access management, registration staff and physician if account is not secure prior to admission.
- Provides helpful and friendly assistance in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates caring behavior by utilizing positive interpersonal skills.
- Effectively responds to inquiries with a pleasant expression, maintaining eye contact, etc.
Compensation
- The annual salary range for this position is $38,000.00-$64,000.00.
