About the role

Silvus is seeking a Senior System Test and Automation Engineer who will report to the R&D Director, Implementation on the Research and Development team.
The following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position.

Design and implement logging and log analysis tools to capture performance of both the systems under test and the test infrastructure itself.
Help define new products and features to fill gaps and perform product evaluations and field tests and trials for new product features and accessories.
Work closely with the software development team to augment production test systems to support rollout of new features and product configurations.
Perform manufacturing failure troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production failures escalated to engineering.
Perform other related duties, of which the above are representative.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or another relevant field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience, specifically in embedded firmware development and testing, scripting, embedded Linux, C/C++, and python
OR a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience including embedded firmware development and testing, scripting, embedded Linux, C/C++, and python with an advanced degree.
Demonstrated experience in wireless/networking or an electronics manufacturing environment.
Proven experience with lab instruments such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
Proven experience with wireless and radio communication systems, radio frequency signal propagation principles, and digital communication technologies.

Stricter U.S. Citizen ONLY requirements (needed for some Engineering or R&D roles) will be included in the Required Qualifications section of the posted position.

Demonstrated experience with TCP/IP networking.
Excellent organizational skills, attentiveness to details, and ability to multi-task and quickly switch gears.

This position is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, at Silvus Technologies' HQ in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles.

The pay range is NOT a guarantee. It is based on market research and peer data, and will vary depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
$130,000 - $180,000 USD
