- Greenhouse is searching for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Employer Experience & Talent Discovery team.
- In this role, you'll contribute to Talent Matching, Talent Rediscovery, and related employer-facing experiences.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve full-stack experiences for Talent Matching, Talent Rediscovery, and related talent discovery workflows
- Design and ship search-backed capabilities using OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, including indexing strategies, query design, relevance tuning, ranking improvements, and semantic retrieval patterns
- Develop matching systems that combine keyword, structured, and semantic signals, applying AI/ML techniques such as embeddings, similarity search, classification, and ranking to improve match quality and consistency
- Partner with Applied ML and cross-functional engineering teams to evaluate trade-offs across relevance, latency, reliability, infrastructure cost, and user trust
- Experience building search, ranking, recommendation, or matching systems
- Experience collaborating with Product and Design in ambiguous, user-facing problem spaces
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers to define requirements and drive product development from conception to launch

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience writing production code
- Deep experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch in production, including indexing, query design, relevance tuning, and performance trade-offs
- Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada as of the start date chosen by the Company.
- A search and matching builder - you enjoy turning complex retrieval and ranking problems into intuitive, trustworthy product experience
Nice to have
- Experience with Ruby, C#, Java, or Python
- Ruby on Rails preferred
- Experience with analytical databases, a plus
Compensation
- The expected base salary for this role is CAD $117,500 - $164,500.
