About the role

  • The BSMC Ambulatory RN works in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care team, plans and implements patient and family education, ensures patient safety and is responsible for assessing the needs and initiating appropriate intervention for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates one's own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Required:
  • Current Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse).
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Preferred:
  • Ambulatory clinical care experience.
  • Computer ability and knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) operating systems.
  • Essential Job Functions: In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.
  • Collects Comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or the situation (Assessment).
  • Analyzes the assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis).
  • Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or the situation.
