About the role

  • The Data Architect is responsible for designing data infrastructure to extract and organize data.
  • "Has minimum necessary access to Protected Health Information (PHI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) by Job Description/Role."
  • Integrates data from line of business to data warehouse; presents the data using data visualization software.

Responsibilities

  • This role identifies the Company's internal data sources to determine storage needs and optimize utilization of the information to create and maintain data infrastructure for business intelligence needs.
  • Responsible for the design and delivery of solutions for longevity and scalability.
  • Using Informatica software to design and maintain data storage.
  • Creates ETL Mappings, Workflows and worklets using Informatica
  • Develops data definition and process standards across the organization.
  • Creates product and project level data artifacts.
  • Leads the data management effort including ownership and maintenance of data dictionaries and data models.
  • Designs, modifies, tests, and implements data warehouse and all related ETL functions.
  • Develops procedures for meta data management and creates data mapping documents.
  • Performs problem assessment, resolution, and documentation in existing ETL, mapping and workflows as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or another business-related field.
  • Six years of experience designing and delivering enterprise solutions.
  • Eight years of experience working with Microsoft Tools (SSIS, SSRS, and SQL).
  • 3-4 years of development background in Informatica ETL Systems is required.
  • Good hands on experience in informatica concepts like reusable transformations, partition techniques and data modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, data mart, and data warehouse architecture.
  • Proven ability to learn business processes and concepts.
  • Ability to explain complicated concepts in simple terms
