- Job Description The Ares Secondaries team specializes in secondary market transactions of private equity, real estate, credit, and infrastructure investments with AUM of approximately $42 billion as of December 31, 2025.
- The AVP will engage with key team members, including PE Secondaries Deal Team, Portfolio Management, Capital Markets, Legal, Compliance, Accounting, and Investor Relations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop analysts and associates, while providing ongoing training and feedback
- Work with investment professionals to assist in deal closings and allocations across funds, as well as support ongoing portfolio construction
- Perform detailed review of quarterly investment report valuations, including diversification metrics as well as valuation gains and losses
Nice to have
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
- MBA, CFA, or CPA is a plus
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office, eFront Software is a plus
Skills
- Solid management team skills including staff development
- Strong relationship building skills with internal business clients
Compensation
- The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below.
- Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus.
