Responsibilities
- Perform operator-level cleaning and maintenance for their assigned area
- Perform multiple tooling changeovers
- Support daily and monthly production goals and targets
- Perform physical material movements
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with 5S and lean initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety toed footwear required.
- Additional PPE may be required based upon work.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old
- Intermediate knowledge of differences between parts flowing through assigned areas
- Intermediate use of various prepping supplies and equipment required for assigned areas
- Experience in reading measuring devices
- Ability to safely operate equipment, which may include material movement equipment such as overhead lifting devices, forklifts, etc.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check, if offered employment
- Position requires ability to move with ease in the production area
- Effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- High focus on quality and safety
- Proficient math, reading, and computer skills
- Advanced skill in the use basic, pneumatic, and power tools
- Advanced skill in reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings
- Able to understand safety protocols of automated systems
- Knowledge and ability to perform other jobs in other pay grades
Nice to have
- HS Diploma or GED preferred
- 12+ months prior manufacturing experience preferred
