About the role

Operating Room Materials Technician What you will be doing: The Operating Room Materials Technician is responsible for the daily management and annual planning of materials used within the operating room.
They will be managing the non-salary expense budget which includes the coordination and provision of supplies that enable patient care.
Competency is evidenced by maintaining established supply chain metrics and by communicating key supply chain information such as supply availability.

Support the budget planning process by conducting product research and providing information. Manage inventory levels per budget dollars allocated. Meet regularly with operations to go over any budget overages or shortfalls.
Create and manage pars within the operating room.
May include the utilization of handheld device to perform par count.
Perform physical receipt of goods and validate shipping against packing slip.
Manage outstanding requisition approvals, backorders, and outstanding receipts by executing respective queries in the procurement system on a daily or weekly basis.
Manage RTVs (returns to vendor).
Support the budget planning process by conducting product research and providing information.
Manage inventory levels per budget dollars allocated.
Partner with operations to identify alternate/substitute products.

Ability to work in a collaborative business environment in close quarters with peers and varying interruptions
