About the role

  • Today, the College of Engineering is the largest college on the College Station campus with more than 25,000 engineering students enrolled in 15 departments.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wireless communication, signal processing, and machine learning.
  • Research and Development: Carry out extensive research and development in wireless communication systems and machine learning.

Responsibilities

  • Modeling and Simulation: Develop sophisticated models and simulations of wireless communication systems. Validate these models using real-world or synthetic data.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to design and execute complex research projects, and to interpret and communicate the results in a clear and effective manner.
  • Documents need to be presented no later than the third day of employment.

Requirements

  • No experience required
  • Proven experience with modeling and simulation of wireless communication systems.
  • Experience in writing successful grant applications.
  • If hired, you will be required to complete the federal Employment Eligibility Verification I-9 form.
  • You will be required to present original and unexpired documents to prove your identity and authorization to work in the United States.

Skills

  • Knowledge of wireless communication protocols and standards.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python, C++, or MATLAB.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with software-defined radio platforms and toolkits.
