About the role
- Xylem seeks to hire a Manufacturing Engineering Process Improvement Technician Intern.
- The engineer will be responsible for engaging with staff, test equipment, software, drawings, and procedures needed to transition processes to a standard format.
- Interface with off and onsite R&D, operations, quality, and other manufacturing engineers to determine product needs and operation constraints.
Responsibilities
- Read and translate mechanical drawings for designs
- Create processes and test plans to a standard YSI format from existing drawings and procedures
- Manage label design, documentation and implementation

- Working knowledge of computers and networking desirable.
- Ability to pick-up equipment, tools and supplies that weigh up to 25 pounds.
- Assist with production process issues as required
- Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend and move about the facility
Skills
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- An individual currently enrolled in a post-secondary University diploma program in Engineering Discipline, Mechanical/Industrial preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Evaluate fixtures, equipment, tools and work with Manufacturing ENG for improvements and/or replacements
- Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
